Sunnyside

My Sunday mornings recently have consisted of early morning trips to the beach to catch some waves before starting the rest of my day. Of course, when I'm done, I'm hungry and what better way to satisfy my appetite than french toast? This weeks french toast can be found in Mill Valley at a restaurant called Sunnyside. I'd tried to come before, but their was a line out the door so this time my expectations were high. I ordered the Fat Sunny French Toast which is fried and dusted with powered sugar and cinnamon. It was a hard choice too. I'd debating forsaking my allegiance to french toast for breakfast tacos, but I stayed loyal. The presentation of the french toast was very nice, however the french toast was just average. It reminded me of funnel cake from the county fair. Don't get me wrong, I like funnel cake, but just not when I order french toast. I think I'll go back to the restaurant one day, but I'll be ordering the breakfast tacos.
