Orphan Andy's
Picture this, three high school girls walk through the Castro at 2am on a Friday night. This is how I came across Orphan Andy's. My friends and I decided to stop for food as we were heading home from a concert at Shoreline. Our problem however, was finding a place open at 2am. Siri directed us to the Castro. Neon lights shone out of clubs as I walked up the street admiring the city's night life. After a short wait we were seated at Orphan Andy's, an adorable diner equipped with a juke box that took credit cards. We ordered our food and watched as the line of people waiting outside grew with drag queen who absolutely were killing the game. Our food came super quickly and of course one of the three items we split was french toast. Despite how much I liked this restaurant, I'm sorry to say that the french toast was disappointing. It was drenched in butter making it soggy. I felt like I was pouring grease down my throat. However, if you like chocolate chip pancakes, Orphan Andy's might be a top contender for best in the world. That though, is a different blog.
